This policy explains what information the EPICS Quiz website (epicsquiz.com) and the EPICS Quiz mobile app ("we", "us", "EPICS") collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name and email address, and a password (stored in encrypted form) when you create an account.
- Quiz data: your card sort answers and the resulting career report.
- Purchase information: the access code or promo code you use, and the status and amount of your payment. Payments are processed by PayPal. We do not see or store your card or PayPal login details.
- Technical data: basic data such as IP address, browser or device type and pages visited, used to run and improve the service.
- Messages: information you send us by email or through our contact form.
How we use your information
- To provide the quiz, generate your results and deliver your report.
- To manage your account, access codes and purchases.
- To send you your results and service-related emails.
- To respond to your questions and improve the service.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers needed to run the service (such as hosting, email delivery and PayPal for payments), or when required by law.
Data retention and security
We keep your data while your account is active and as long as needed to provide the service. We take reasonable precautions to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Delete your account and data
You can delete your account and its data at any time from within the mobile app (account settings). You can also request deletion by emailing us at the address below, and we will delete your account and associated quiz data. Some records, such as payment records, may be kept where we are required to by law.
Children
Our service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and will delete it if we learn we have.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
